Can you have a car on campus at Slippery Rock University? ›

Parking on campus requires your vehicle to be registered for an ePermit. Valid for 2 years from January 1 to December 31. ePermits are available online only at sru.nupark.com/v2/Portal. Any questions, call the Parking Office at 724-738-4785.

You can also check your ePermit status online. Temporary e-Permits, Vehicle or License Plate Changes - Must be made by contacting the Parking & ID Office at 724-738-4785.

Purchase a parking permit

You will need your BU login id and password to login. A vehicle must be registered with the University before parking on campus or it must be parked in a paid space. To register your vehicle and purchase a permit, log into your account and follow the instructions.

Slippery Rock University prohibits the unlawful or unauthorized possession, use, sale, consumption, and serving of alcoholic beverages by or to anyone under the age of twenty-one (21) years of age, in compliance with provisions set forth in the PA Liquor Code.

Admissions requirements include the following:

Official Transcripts (Undergraduate/Graduate) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Application. Our PSP (Parking System Portal) application is a management system for booking, overview and control of the parking flow. It also includes visitor management, reports, and integrations to third-party systems.

Student parking

First-year students residing in University residence halls are not permitted to register or park a vehicle on campus.

What happens if you don't pay Rutgers parking tickets? ›

Unpaid parking tickets will result in denial of the right to register a vehicle to park on campus; for students, a hold may be placed on records including transcripts, diplomas and/ or academic registration. Unpaid tickets will eventually be sent to a collection agency to ensure payment.

All residents are allowed to have cars. Students living on campus must follow the college restrictions of the residence hall in which they live. The university's intercampus bus system provides service throughout the five New Brunswick/Piscataway campuses. It is available to all members of the university community.

To park on the College Avenue or Douglass campuses, students are required to pay $200 per semester. If a commuter has a majority of their classes on the College Avenue campus throughout their four years at Rutgers, then they are compelled to pay $1,600 in parking permits just to attend school.

Slippery Rock University and the surrounding area has various transportation options available for students who commute, including the SGA 'Happy Bus' that makes stops all over campus throughout the day.
