I worked on this car last week for a customer. He had some cooling issues we had to work out.

How bad can it overheat if you only run it for 10 seconds at a time?

6-71 blower on a 383 s.b., 350 turbo. 1.5 x 3 box frame with Chevette front suspension. Ford 9" with a four link and coilovers on all four corners.
It gets 15-16 mpg and cruises great at 65 mph. The owner says the car runs low 11's.
In the picture of the engine you can see the 24 x 19 x 2 1/4 Griffin rad. The car didn't have a shroud and had a Spal pusher fan on the front. This thing would burn down in light traffic and ran no lower than 200 driving on the open road with the fan on. I installed a 24 x 19 x 2 3/4 Griffin with a shroud and changed the fan to pull air. I had to move the rad. forward, around 3" in order to package all this.
The car now runs 185 to 190 on the open road with no fan and can be controlled from 185 to 195 with the fan in heavy, slow moving traffic. The day I tested the car it was 75 to 80 degrees out and I drove it down town for about two hours non stop.
I will say, this is one of the best driving and riding Pro Street cars I have ever been in.

The front fenders look longer between the wheel and door. Has it been stretched, or is the camera screwin' with me?

They are stock. I guess the low stance makes it look longer.

I think you're right. The nose-in-the weeds adds to it too.
